Vicki, one of my students asked, why is journaling so important? I replied, the journaling process helps you get in touch with what is taking place in your life. The events that trigger your emotions, such as: anger, hate, envy, pain, love, pride, etc. These emotions and there are many more, will strengthen your higher intelligence. We all have an ego, we need the ego to survive and exist in life; however, we are more than having an ego. There is in us a deeper sense of self, an intuitive intelligence that wants to come out and express itself. It is called “understanding” and it loves to learn and know itself. The ego-mind lives in the past, in its imagination, and doesn’t like to look at itself. It resists any kind of effort to improve. Once you awaken your intuitive intelligence, then it’s possible to understand the causes of your emotions. This process strengthens your mind, and this is where you will feel a true love of self, and self-approval. Because you feel the power of your mind’s desire to understand the laws that influence your nature. This is a continuous process, like breathing freely without restraints.
