Spinoza’s God is Nature, not an anthropomorphic being or a personal God. He is a Being comprised of infinite attributes which are eternal. Fortunately, we are a part of two, the infinite and eternal attribute “Thought” and “Extension.” Our mind and our body are modes of these two attributes. Spinoza’s Ethics explains the nature of God, the Mind, of Human Nature and Freedom from Emotional Bondage. If you have difficulty in understanding Spinoza’s Ethics, you may want help. It has taken me ove 30 years to grasp Spinoza’s philosophy and I love sharing what I understand. Please feel free to email me with any question.
